What causes TB?

Bacteria called bacterium tuberculosis cause the disease TB. The bacteria usually attack the lung
The bacteria can also affect any part of the body such as kidneys, brain and spinal cord. If they are not treated properly TB disease can lead to death.

How is it spread?

People with active TB disease are most likely to spread it to people they spend a lot of time every day including family members , friends and co-workers. One person with active TB can spread it to 10-15 other people within a year. Overcrowding and poor sanitation increase the spread of TB.

Weakness
Weight loss
Loss of appetite
Chills
Fever
Sweating at night
