how i can help someone have depression

with my words i can help if someone have depression, i can help him to communicate with him and ask him what's your problem may be she/he tell me that her mother and father they are fighting each other at home i would say let's go to the social workers get some more help may be they can help you to talk to you and to communicate with your parents to tell them they must stop what they doing because the thing that they doing,it makes you to kill your self.
