My exsperience at Scifest 2013

SCIFEST EXPERIENCE

Scifest on Monday was wonderful.....it was extremely cool,we went early in the morning which makes it wonderful and when we got there we was different schools and learners..so one of the scifest officials gave us a tour around the monument whereby we saw all kinds of educative stuff.

It was good being around different people from different school and how you interact with them so we went to different stalls whereby they had told us about different kinds of opportunities and gave us application forms for bursary if we excell in Maths and science...not my favourite subjects..they told us about subjects we should take if we are interested in the field of science and marks we should aim for,they told us that nowadays maths literacy wont take us anywhere that we should consider doing pure maths and i was like''No no no pure maths is the digging you own grave''but guys we should really consider the subjects and careers we want to do while we still have the time.Schools from all over South Africa were there.

The whole point of scifest was for them to give awareness about science and we should consider careers based on science cause we all know that South Africa has a few scientist...it was a great privilege to be part of sciefest indeed it was!!!!!!!!
