Intervention Design...
How we develop this project is essential to its success. In any development project, or most areas of life for that matter, when someone imposes an idea or model of behavior, people naturally reject it. While I was acutely aware of this, South Africa gave me a little more practical understanding of how this plays out in real life. Unfortunately, I was under the assumption that the schools we were working with knew more than they did. By the time I knew how little they were involved, we were about to begin this project. This cannot and will not happen in Sierra Leone. I’m aiming for an Emergent design based on David Cavallo’s work in education reform in learning environments. This concept will be developed in later discussions.
