A Vegetarian Diet Will Protect the Environment
Dropping meat from your diet will help along the way to a healthier environment. Not only will it rid us of much pollution but it is also healthier for the individual.
This is because with factory farming, animals are brutalized and abused. Spiritually, by eating these animals, you are eating their misery and negative energy. Physically, you are digesting unhealthy chemicals released by negative energy, as well as the antibiotics and other medicines fed to the animals to speed up their growing process in order for them to be old enough to slaughter.
Herewith follows some facts about the cruelty of factory farming:
- Egg-laying hens live in crowded cages, six or seven hens to one battery cage the size of a file drawer.
- Cattle are castrated, their horns are ripped off, and third-degree burns (livestock branding) are inflicted on them, all without anesthetic.
- Cows used for their milk have their babies stolen from them shortly after birth. These calves are sent to veal farms.
- Chickens bred and drugged to grow so quickly that their hearts, lungs, and limbs often can't keep up.
- Mother pigs (sows) are confined togestation crates that are so small that the pigs cannot turn around or even lie down.
- Chickens' and turkeys' beaks are burned or cut off without anesthetic to prevent them from attacking one another in their cages due to frustration.

I conclude with a quote by Sir Paul McCartney:
"If anyone wants to save the planet, all they have to do is stop eating meat. That's the single most important thing you can do. It's staggering when you think about it. Vegetarianism takes care of so many things in one shot: ecology, famine, cruelty"
