A Board Game to explain the Internet without the Internet
A group of learners at
Mary Waters High School has found their way to the computer lab after school to create a board game to explain the Internet for people without Internet.
Anna and
Ron Wertlen are going to brainstorm with them, play games, discuss the Internet and get abstract and active. If you want to join this project, please, send us a request. Everyone else is very welcome to follow this project by reading and commenting.
We found that a team game, highlighting communication and connectedness between people and topics would be the cornerstones of such a game. Most project participants thought that such a game could be very well represented on a tablet PC, which allows intuitive scrolling and dynamic playing capabilities.
Several learners also highlighted the good vs. bad battle going on in the Internet, where spammers, hackers and pornographers are pitted against regular users and child-friendly organisations to win over minds of people.
You will be surprised! It will be even better than Barricade!
