Challenges we face as young people in South Africa

THE CHALLENGES WE FACE AS YOUNG

SOUTH AFRICANS

Many S.A teenagers face a lot of challenges in their life. For some of these teenage problems some parents are also affected by this challenges.

Some of these challenges are using drugs.abusing alcohol, falling pregnant at an early age and these cause stress, people to be orphans, increases population, death population also increases.Peer Pressure is also on the list of challenges, many teenagers do the things they do because of peer pressure ,they dont think about the consequences that will happen once they start listening to wrong ideas from their friends.

Another problem is teen pregnancy.Teen pregnancy has been the major talk of the country and it still is.Many people including the government are still try to work out the reasons why there is so much teenagers getting pregnant some suspects its all because they want grant money.I say its because of peer pressure. If you can see this one little innocent girl sitting at her home doing everything a girl should do,the next thing that same girl is the one who has fallen pregnant and no-one knows how and when, once she tells you the whole story mostly you will hear her calling the name "FRIEND".

There's a lot of these callenges here and these were some of them

GRAHAMSTOWN MY TOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

WHY I LOVE GRAHAMSTOWN!!

IT IS A SMALL TOWN IN THE EASTERN CAPE PROVINCE,A HOME TO MANY LIVES.IT IS THE CITY OF SAINTS.IT HAS A GREAT HISTORY BEHIND ITS DOORS,MANY PEOPLE KNOW IT FOR THAT HISTORY.

GRAHAMSTOWN IS NOT LIKE THE OTHER TOWNS.IT DOESN'T HAVE BIG BUILDINGS,MANY BUSY ROADS OR MANY UNIVERSITIES BUT I AM PROUD TO BE A GRAHAMTOWNIAN.I KNOW THAT IN GRAHAMSTOWN THERE'S A LOT OF CRIME BUT THAT DOESN'T STOP ME FROM LOVING IT.

I LIKE GRAHAMSTOWN FOR THE PEOPLE LIVING HERE,IT'S SHAPE,SIZE AND VIEWS,THE YEARLY FESTIVALS AND SCI-FESTS BUT THAT'S NOT ALL ,THERE ARE MANY OTHER REASON TO WHY I LOVE GRAHAMSTOWN.

GRAHAMSTOWN IS MY HOOD AND IT WILL ALWAYS BE MY HOOD.

MY FUTURE MY CHOICE

MY FUTURE MY CHOICE

MANY THINGS HAPPEN IN LIFE.MANY PEOPLE WISH DIFFERENT THINGS FOR THEIR FUTURE WELL, WHAT ABOUT ME, WHAT DO I SAY ABOUT MY FUTURE.THERE ARE MANY THINGS I WANT FOR MY FUTURE BUT, FOR I TO HAVE ALL OF THESE I NEED TO PLAN AND HAVE EDUCATION.

AFTER DOING MY GRADE 12 I WANT TO GO TO UNIVERSITY AND STUDY LAW.I WANT TO BECOME A LAWYER AND ALSO A BUSINES WOMAN,OWN A MISSIONARY ANYWHERE.I WANT TO GET MARRIED TO A GUY THAT I KNOW AND NOT TO SOMEONE I HAVE JUST MET BECAUSE THEN MAYBE, MY PLANS FOR THE FUTURE, MIGHT GET RUINED.

I SHALL NOT DO DRUGS OR ABUSE ALCOHOL.I SHALL HELP THOSE WHO NEED MY HELP.I WILL MAKE THE RIGHT DECISIONS FOR MY FUTURE NOT TO BE RUINED AND BEFORE I ACT ON THEM, I SHALL MAKE SURE THAT THE DECISIONS I MAKE ARE THE RIGHT DECISIONS.

NOW THOSE ARE SOME OF MY CHOICES AND PLANS ON MY FUTURE.

LOVE,FREEDOM,PEACE

Love Freedom Peace!!!!

Some say Love is invisible

Some say Freedom is a reminder

Some say Peace is your future

But what do I say??

Love is an unseen thing

It is a living ABSTRACT NOUN

Looking for someone to love it too

But not love it as love,

but love it as it is.

Freedom is my hero

He's my life time friend

He came from democracy,

killed all the hypocrity

Just for me to see him again

Peace lives in my heart

I only let him out when i forgive you

He's the reason why today we are friends

If it were not for him

I wouldnt be here today writing,

who knows where i would be!!

These Bruises
We do not talk about them, these bruises: the ink stains on my fingers, or the marks she left on my neck.  You do not ask me about those photographs: the smiles that remember caresses, the averted-gaze-embraces.  But I wear them – the memories and the marks – and I think you know tha...

Clans names and their role in creating a positive self esteem.
I have observed with interest people's contributions on the history of their clan names on the projects wall. It is said that it is important for a person to know his or her own past in order to be able to make proper plans for his/her future. Knowing oneself contributes to a positive self esteem. A...
