Xhosa Culture

_MY LOVELY CULTURE_

What i love about my culture is that when we have to turn into man from boys we have to buy new clothes but sometimes i hate that because we as boys have to get rid of our old clothes because when we turning into man,its like we starting a new chapter and you have to change if you were doing something wrong. And i also love that when we saw a black bird or a owl at our house we always have to wear traditional clothes and do traditional dance, sing some traditional music and we drink lot of umqobothi which we now call it 'AFRICAN BEER' and we do that because we as Xhosa we really really believe in witchcraft.

And when it comes to wedding oh I love that part because we as all young childrens have to eat alot and i love that part too. tjow when it comes to food we eat a lot of umqusho, mphokoqo, dombolo and drinks we use mdoko, am'nze swekile and more. and my favorate food is umphokoqo which we now know it as ''AFRICAN SALAD'' And i actually use my own ingredients ''SUGAR!!''.

Love, Pease & Freedom

PEACE, LOVE AND FREEDOM

PEACE, LOVE AND FREEDOM those words are like a need in life because without PEACE no one will respect our teachers, friends, family members and mostly our parents. And if we don't respect our parents we won't be loved and without LOVE no one will love nobody everybody will not care about anyone and we won't be free because there will be like no police, no one that will care about us, and crime makers will have a good opportunity to rob us, rape our sisters and break in our house so we won't be free at all and without FREEDOM we have no place to hide.

So we as human being should have PEASE LOVE AND FREEDOM

My precious day with Nelson Mandela

MY DAY SPENT WITH NELSON MANDELA

WOW!! My day with him will be well spent because i can have a tea with him and teach him how to play games like play station, well i can bring his childhood back because he is so old so i will try to bring the biggest smile on his face and i can ask him about his history, his life because i really really want to know more about him because he is like a father to me although i never saw him with my eye sight. Well i can even ask him a question i always wanted to ask him "WHAT MOTIVATED HIM TO BE THE HERO FOR US AS BLACKS??" because he is the one that helped us free, we are free now because of him so mostly the day will be about him.

I can even ask him that where the hell did he get the bravery like that because mna I my self i will never do that help my world physicaly, because they can actually kill me in that brison he was in because they where like beating him hard but he still did't give up so i really need to know more about his life. So the day will be about him.

These Bruises
We do not talk about them, these bruises: the ink stains on my fingers, or the marks she left on my neck.  You do not ask me about those photographs: the smiles that remember caresses, the averted-gaze-embraces.  But I wear them – the memories and the marks – and I think you know tha...

Clans names and their role in creating a positive self esteem.
I have observed with interest people's contributions on the history of their clan names on the projects wall. It is said that it is important for a person to know his or her own past in order to be able to make proper plans for his/her future. Knowing oneself contributes to a positive self esteem. A...
