A SHORT STORY THE OPEN ROAD

AN OPEN ROAD
I ANATHI MASWANA had always had a dream of being on my own, start a new life just be my own boss.A child's life is like an open free ,empty road growing up they are the one's who have to fill in all the opsticals along the way deco there lives and be in charge. But how can i do the same my "road" is full of cars, full of dust, full of flat tires...Just full if only I’d be given an empty road start anew fresh life deco my road with good cars, tires,on a non-dust road and no people, put all the good people and bad on two separate place's fill my road sides with flowers,butterflies...People tell me to take one step at a time, be slow don’t rush things. And its what i do one day at a time just breath sweep my road quietly and alone...And start a new life on my own with nobody else on my back

TO THE MINSTER OF EDUCATION

Mary Waters Secondary School
Grahamstown
Eastren Cape

Dear Sir/Madam

Report about the shortage of teachers in our school

Since last year we have been having a problem of teacher shortage(2012).Which left us with a very poor pass rate. For this reason we all had to cut school and march to the DOE, till the last breath.

Our martch had all the schools Nombulelo,Nyaluza and Mary Waters from one block to another block singing, running and scream so our voices could be hard.So we got to the Department of Education but it was as if we were mouth folded we lost hope when it came to school.

In the middle of the year we got two teachers for English and Technology .We had every thing going from books to pens every thing. But again this year still the same story 11 teachers short, luckely we still got 3 teachers and they dont teach all of the children and that leaves us with 8 teachers short Nombulelo(6) Nyaluza(5)

WE ARE IN A TERRABLE SITUATION

Yours truly
Mary Waters Students

These Bruises
We do not talk about them, these bruises: the ink stains on my fingers, or the marks she left on my neck.  You do not ask me about those photographs: the smiles that remember caresses, the averted-gaze-embraces.  But I wear them – the memories and the marks – and I think you know tha...

Clans names and their role in creating a positive self esteem.
I have observed with interest people's contributions on the history of their clan names on the projects wall. It is said that it is important for a person to know his or her own past in order to be able to make proper plans for his/her future. Knowing oneself contributes to a positive self esteem. A...
