My role model

My role model

My role model is Aphelele Mshubeki,a friend of mine. She is three years older than me and I admire her a lot.She goes to Mary Waters High School. We've been friends for a while now and we know and understand each other very well. She's kind, loving, caring, sporty and funny and I guess that is why I love her so much.We seem to have a lot in common.

She's always there for me when I need her.Aphenxe is more like a sister to me,I always speak with her when something is bothering me or when im excited about something. She is and always has been by my side and I hope she feels the same way about me.If I could spend the whole weekend with her,I would learn a lot from her. She's very mature and serious about life.Aphelele Mshubeki actually brings out the best in me and I love her so much!

There are many places that you can go to.Places like Botanical garden where you can chill and enjoy yourself with your friends. It is a big beautiful place with lots of trees.I love that place so much because you feel free when you are there, and you are always welcome.

I go there more often, just to chill and relax in that green beautiful grass, take lots of pictures and eat.Botanical garden is a place to be,a place of happy memories.

Challenges we face as youth in South Africa

Challenges we face as youth in South Africa

As youth we face so many challenges especially the teenage group.I think the most challenge we face is losing a family member or a friend.Somebody you looked up to.We then start losing hope and do things we will regret. Some of us like to join groups of gangsters and do silly mistakes like drinking and smoking.

We dont listen to adults because we think we know what we are doing. We get into fights and so many things. You quit school, leave your house and family.Once you have done that, you know there is no turning back. That is when you start blaming yourself and having anger inside you.

When you are going through all those things, education is the most important thing you should focus on because it is all for your future and you can always learn from your mistakes and move on.

Grahamstown my town

Grahamstown my town

Grahamstown is a place to be.It is a small town but has many people in it.Black people, white people, coloured and others. We are all different but we live together in one place and we respect each other. We get to know many different languages because we hear them everyday. It is important to not judge other people's beliefs and respect who they are and what they believe in.

This town is full of beautiful people, animals and places. We make sure that it is clean and safe for everybody's health.I was born in this town and I will die in this town!

These Bruises
We do not talk about them, these bruises: the ink stains on my fingers, or the marks she left on my neck.  You do not ask me about those photographs: the smiles that remember caresses, the averted-gaze-embraces.  But I wear them – the memories and the marks – and I think you know tha...

Clans names and their role in creating a positive self esteem.
I have observed with interest people's contributions on the history of their clan names on the projects wall.
