Traditionals and celebrations christmas in the Eastern Cape

For Christmas i want cellphone and clothes to wear and am still a kid i wont stop wearing new clothes on that day because i want to.
On christmas we cook and call all the famaly members to come and join us so that we can have lunch together as a famaly an after that we have a braai.
On christmas eve we celebrate the new year and then we go to the beach to have fun.
Here in South Africa we get chocolates, biscuit and go around asking for sweets.
Yes i go to church on christmas eve.
Yes we do.
My favourite part of christmas is that we eat and i love food mna i am a food killer at home.

My role model

My role model is my mother because she is the person that brought me here and she is a caring loving mother.

Because she cares about her children like me am the second child to her and she kept on going no matter what happened in her life

What i like about her is that she will do anything to see her children going
through with their life.

If i spend a day with my mother i would cook for her and make tea and we could chat.

How was her life before i came in her life

Who inspires me

WHO INSPIRES ME

Ms France inspires me a lot because she teaches English good and I didn’t like English and when she walked in our class I said wow what a great teacher of English. She likes to see a person going on with her, his life getting successful and she likes a person that likes to read books ,she has great books in the library.

She does a good job with the kids from grade5 and she gives them extra lessons after school with the learners from Victoria Girls. She inspires me in reading and when I feel bored at home I take a book and read. She inspires lot of people and when there’s a programme here at here school I get in because it helps me not to get involved in wrong stuff.

Here at school there is a programme that is called Upstart and she called people that wanted to join and at first I wasn’t interested but I said let me try and here I am today with a certificate of big brother and big sister from Rhodes university.

I have friends that do bad things but I don’t do them because I listened to Mr France not to cope what your friends do.

My poem

poem about my country

My country is for love and peace
So say its valleys where ancient rivers
flow the circle of life under the proud eyes
of bird running in the sky like they are chased
away

These Bruises
We do not talk about them, these bruises: the ink stains on my fingers, or the marks she left on my neck.  You do not ask me about those photographs: the smiles that remember caresses, the averted-gaze-embraces.  But I wear them – the memories and the marks – and I think you know tha...

Clans names and their role in creating a positive self esteem.
I have observed with interest people's contributions on the history of their clan names on the projects wall. It is said that it is important for a person to know his or her own past in order to be able to make proper plans for his/her future. Knowing oneself contributes to a positive self esteem. A...
