Peace Day Song recordings

Yesterday it was our peace day song recording and felt so happy that we are going to have a CD. It was very funny we were at Rhodes and we were taking photos and some photos were funny photos. Then when I get into the studio I felt so excited. But the recorder was taking one rapper at a time to record his or her verse but were at the other room by the time they record although we heard everyone who is recording. But I felt very scared when it comes my turn to record but as the time goes I fely happy. But when the recorder take three of chorus I felt scared that my voice will burn out from other voices but we did although I was scared but we do very well. And it was my first time to record a song at a studio. We had a lot of fun from there no one were laughing each other.

what Nelson Mandela meant to me

Nelson Mandela is meant as the father of the nation to me.He is meant to be the lawyer but he cant maybe it's because of the democracy in the past years. He is meant to help people and to solve people's problems so that everyone can have freedom and to feel free. And he is also meant to be the person he was before his death. He is meant to be our father and everything to us because he made many things us and he made an unbeleivable things but those things are true.

my grade 9 farewell

My farewell was at makana resort and it was very fantastic. I joyed that day we were eating with fork and knife but some of us cant use fork and knife. It was fun and when I started to get in the makana resort I felt so excited of where I am I didnt get in somewhere like this. And we started get photos outside and it was very fun. When we get into the rescuerant I felt so gorgeous and I feel like wow where I am and I remember what my mother and my teachers said to me about education.I remember when they encourage me to keep on learning and I prove that it is true that if you have education you will go far away from your city because they show us they lady that has done grde 12 at the age of 15 and she went to matatiala for her tertiary and now she is a social worker at Themba hospital. And she even told us how is she became the person she is now and she told us that she is from rural areas. And it was very fun when we were eating the starters the toast, avocados and some stuff because some learners felt like mhhh I didnt eat this before but my question is why they eat something that they ever eat it before?

If I was Nelson Mandela I would...

If I was Nelson Mandela I would like to do something special for my family and my supporters of being a president. I would like to leave one of my childrens with my work to be a president and I would like to do that so early before I die and leave then. I also would like to do something for those people who were worried about me when I was in Robern Island or let me say all of people who were still alive that piriod of time. I would also like to do something for little people although they were not yet born that time but they heard about me in their studies and some of them they were worried when they heard that. Some learners heard that when they were not studying when they were still young and not at the age of school and I am so worried of that. I would'nt like to show childrens that I am sick although most children like to watch television then they see how sick I am and how bad I am. And I know how they will feel and some of them will not concentrate in the class room.

I would like all of children who did'nt see me for their life to see me face to face before I die so that they can believe what their teachers tell them in the history classes. And they must play their role when they are still young so that they have a future and they can be famous such as me. I would like to share my real life with them so that those who had dreams of being a president can know how hard the president work is..

my peace day experience

I enjoyed peace day songs because learners were reporting a message to people about love and peace. There were five schools who were reporting the message and there were 40 learners from different schools and they were performing on the stage to show to people how love and peace is. they were all doing the best and it was very difficult to win because every school was taking their talent out and show people. We tryed to win but we didn't because it was not easy and some other danced as well as they can. But anyway it was a very great day and it was funny. There were some rappers from rhodes university who were showing us their talent.

These Bruises
We do not talk about them, these bruises: the ink stains on my fingers, or the marks she left on my neck.  You do not ask me about those photographs: the smiles that remember caresses, the averted-gaze-embraces.  But I wear them – the memories and the marks – and I think you know tha...

Clans names and their role in creating a positive self esteem.
I have observed with interest people's contributions on the history of their clan names on the projects wall. It is said that it is important for a person to know his or her own past in order to be able to make proper plans for his/her future. Knowing oneself contributes to a positive self esteem. A...
